Why donate?
You don’t have to, we have a team of people who put a lot of time into the Alabama Link. There are a lot of places to go for you to talk and spend time, we respect that and appreciate you using the system. Nothing is required nor expected.
As with anything there are costs. We try our best to keep the costs as low as possible. Our setup is a little different than most. The main portion of our system is in Troy, Alabama on a fiber connection. It has some backup power and is well maintained by Hams. Our main costs are Internet, electricity, maintenance ( as in equipment replacement/upgrades/enhancements) and residual costs like the domain name and other minor items.
Any donation YOU can make is greatly appreciated. We will even tell you where the money will be spent. Every amount helps.
